Park Foster Care has been awarded Tier One status in the North West.

The NW Fostering Contract is a group of local authorities in the North West (Manchester, Trafford, Stockport, Wigan, St Helen’s, Halton, Knowsley and Liverpool) and was set up to identify suppliers offering the highest quality service in the region and rank into three tiers. The tendering process took six months with the decision being made in February and the contract commencement 5th April 2010.  All requests for fostering placements will be sent to the Tier 1 agencies; if a suitable match is not found then the referral will be passed to Tier 2 and 3 agencies. Mike Miltiadous, Park Foster Care’s Service Manager, was delighted with the result and commented “We are very pleased; we see this as an endorsement for the continued hard work and excellent service given by our carers and staff.  This contract will also ensure we will have a steady stream of requests for placements, and we will do our utmost to find the best possible match for the children with our carers”.  92% of foster carers with Park Foster Care have a placement and the agency is about to embark on a recruitment campaign for new foster carers.  Miltiadous continues “We would like to expand the number of fostering households across the North West”
