prizes presented to winners of Design an Advert competition

Park Foster Care attended an assembly at St James Primary School in Brownhills recently to present prizes to the winning entrants of a ‘design an advert’ competition.

The competition was run by The Express & Star newspaper where participating businesses were asked to provide a ‘creative brief’ to school children from a selection of schools to translate into an ‘advert’.  The company pick their favourite advert to be printed in the paper and votes are made by the general public on the overall winner.  Each school receives £50 for participating and the winning school receives £500.

Twenty four ‘adverts’ were created from the Park Foster Care brief by St James Primary School, Mike Miltiadous, Service Manager commented “all the entries were innovative in their own way and it was very difficult for us to choose only one to publish, so we decided to pick three and present our own prizes”

Tom Grimmitt, Supervising Social Worker at Park Foster Care popped along to the school to present prizes of arts & crafts materials to: Chloe Barnard (age 10), Liam Jenkins (age 10) and Abigayle Paddock (age 9).  Chloe’s picture was submitted to the paper as the advert entry.
